Janelle Layne Taylor was born January 6, 1947, in Winchester, TN, but has lived in Pelham, Grundy County, TN most of her life. A teacher by profession with a B.S., M.Ed., and Ed.S. from Middle Tennessee State University, she has long been interested in local history and family history either authoring or co-authoring several books and other publications.
She is a member of the Elk River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and an Archivist and Librarian for the Grundy County, TN, Heritage Center.
