J. Douglas Adams is a retired high school band director. He fulfilled his plans to retire and move to the Virginia coast, where he has taken a part-time position at the local library. This is his first novel. He spent twenty years crafting the story after being inspired by a student’s note he picked up from the floor of his classroom with the word “obnoxious” misspelled as “obnoctous.”
Adams holds degrees from Eastern Kentucky University, the University of Cincinnati, and Liberty University. He is happily married with four children, and three grandchildren. He has always had a passion for reading fantasy and science fiction stories. His favorite authors in these categories include: Timothy Zahn, John Scalzi, Phillip Pullman, Terry Brooks and of course, J.R.R. Tolkien.
