C. J. Johns lives in Georgetown, Tennessee, with her golden retriever, Angel. She says, “Key to the Dream got into my head like an old song and would not leave. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.” Johns grew up and married in West Texas. After her husband died young, she moved her family back to her native Tennessee. For the next fifty-five years, she owned and successfully operated five businesses in Bradley County, Tennessee. She is a descendant of “Devil Anse Hatfield” of the “Hatfield and McCoy” feud.
